The Fun Family Xperience Theatre exists to create live interactive shows at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, with a purpose beyond simply entertaining. FFX has a purpose to see families being strengthened and encouraged through a unique shared experience with one another.
Our Story
We love families, and have a passion for seeing family members connect together in meaningful (and usually fun) ways! We have innovated an Xperience for your whole family unlike anything you've seen anywhere! Follow us or get involved as the show gears up into our first preview productions this year. Not just games, and not just a show with a great story, it’s both and more - and your family can be a part of it. Sit and watch a show - no way! With FFX you have fun being part of the whole Xperience, and might be selected in a challenge or game up on stage with zany characters.
Over the course of our first year with the theater, the pandemic led us to adapt a singular show concept into what has now become in 3 years over 30 different interactive family-friendly productions and as a venue have hosted many other events from non-profit fundraisers and film festivals to concerts and clean comedy nights (plus birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers, weddings, family reunions, retirement celebrations, and team-building workshops). Beyond the shows, our mission is to develop additional events and resources that continue to equip family members in their roles so that each family can discover their unique purpose, and realize they are stronger together.

Tim and Angie Ritter
FOUNDERS Tim and Angie are proud parents of two great kids (all grown up), several 'adopted' exchange students, and love all our extended family. Tim's work with kids and families around the world in education, counseling, corporate training, and as a family pastor all share a reputation for making things fun and thought-provoking. Angie shares a long-running passion for education, and currently serves at-risk children with developmental delays, and is a fantastic mom-preneur (including creating a terrific online video series for parents of young children.) Katie's experience in acting and stage management allows her to consult on various parts of FFX productions. Alec has a fantastic ear for music and a terrific eye for film-making, and uses both of those as both a professional cinematographer and worship artist. Tim loves travel adventures as a modern Indiana Jones, and once led over 250 adults in a simultaneous marshmallow juggling lesson. Angie laughs most at slapstick moments in shows, and has the unique talent of rolling her eyes in the funniest circles you've ever seen while turning her tongue upside down. Mike Owen Mirus Inc With many successful businesses current and past, along with great experience as a fun dad and grand-dad alongside his wife Sandy, Mike brings his acumen and insights to our leadership team, as well as a great sense of humor. Mike loves guys night, action movies, and driving cool cars. 
Leon Dunning SALT CHURCH As father of two great kids with Miranda (who has degrees in acting and law.) Originally from North Carolina, Leon is a caring pastor who gives perspective on many real issues and challenges families face today. Leon can often be found surfing at the oceanfront. |
Kisha Prisinzano Coastal Real Estate Kisha is a proud wife to Gandolfo, mother to 7 adult children, 3 grands, and Hampton Roads native. In addition to helping families find a great home in a great neighborhood, Kisha also founded V4G to mentor and encourage women to oveflow with a life of God's love. 
Elizabeth McMaster-Cabanban McMaster Law firm Elizabeth lives in Suffolk with her husband, John, his adult son, three French bulldogs and a sweet black cat. She specializes in elder law, helping her clients live more fulfilling, stable and secure lives. Her law degree is from The Catholic University of America. She also loves history, true crime podcasts, and hanging out at the beach. |
Scott LaRue LifeVenture Group With kids ranging from middle school to college and adulthood, Scott and Shannon live in Indiana and lead an international missions organization. Scott understands the challenges of being a non-profit as well as reaching across cultural boundaries.
